Day 8 of the blog challenge
It is ironic that I am supposed to write about a moment. I can't think of one all of a sudden. But had I asked Big Daddy, "At what moment did__________?" I'd be all ticked because he'd answer with his standard and ever-frustrating answer, "I don't know."
Men.
Anyway, I have thought of the typical, "the day I got married," "the day I had ___" (insert child's name here) "when we bought our first house" blah blah blah.
That's all boring, right?
OH! I know!
There was a moment that I knew I was going to be a teacher:
I am sitting at a table with three boys. They are in first grade. On this particular day, I give them a sight word and they are to put them in a sentence.
As long as I live, I will never forget this particular little boy. He was a tad bit on the hyper side, but you couldn't help but love him. Sadly, he has moved out-of-state, so I'll never see him again.
Anyway, the word I gave him was 'they.'
He thought for a moment, and wrote on the dry-erase board:
"Yesterday we went to they house."
I still laugh about that to this day.
And I didn't correct him, either. For him, it was right.

Awwww. Love it!
Also? I have a similar "I should be a teacher" moment, I guess I'll have to share that too!
