Mom according to the almost 16-year old daughter

The boys' answers to these cracked me up so much, I thought I'd go ahead and ask the teenager. Her answers surprised me. Also, there is a conflict with some of the narrative. I typed what she said; I thought it made it more 'real.'

Enjoy.

1. What is something your mom always says to you?

Me gusta (Spanish for, "I like" or " it is pleasing to me.)

2. What makes mom happy?
Skittles ( I see a pattern forming...)

3. What makes mom sad?
Being lonely or bad grades.

4. How does your mom make you laugh?
Says funny stuff, obviously. (She has inherited my wit, I do believe.)

5. What was your mom like as a child?
::whispers:: How am I supposed to know? Um, quiet.

6. How old is your mom?
34

7. How tall is your mom?
5'3"? 5'2"? I didn't measure, sorry. (Ok. She also inherited sarcasm. Must be on her dad's side.)

8. What is her favorite thing to do?
Read books. (She says with a hint of disdain.)

9. What does your mom do when you are not around?
Study.

10. If your mom becomes famous, what would it be for?
Writing.

11. What is your mom really good at?
Hmm...making spaghetti.

12. What is your mom not really good at?
Sports. (Word.)

13. What does your mom do for a job?
She goes college and she's a substitute teacher.

14. What is your mom's favorite food?
Skittles. (I just ate some. This may be the root of my dentistry problems.)

15. What makes you proud of your mom?
She is going to college. (::sniff::)

16. If your mom was a cartoon character, who would she be?
Spongebob (I knew she'd say that!!)

17. What do you and your mom do together?
Go to Sonic.

18. How are you and your mom the same?
We look alike.

19. How are you and your mom different?
Our hair color, NO, you like to read and I don't.

20. How do you know your mom loves you?
She just acts like it.

21. What does your mom like most about your dad?
That he has a sense of humor.

22. Where is mom's favorite place to go?
To the library. I am just kidding, the bookstore.

Seriously? That's 15? So nice! I hope Iain's that nice when he's 15. Doubtful, but hope springs eternal.

Wow...I don't think I would have been so nice to my mom at 15. LOL

And what is it with you, Skittles, and jellybeans anyway, woman? LMAO

XOXO

I also would not have been that nice about my mom at 15. In fact, I'm not all that nice about her now. But you guys seem to have a much healthier relationship. Also, it's kind of weird to think you have a daughter that's the same age I remember you.

I loved the last one, "To the Library. Just kidding, the bookstore." That made me giggle.
