Because I am nothing if not a follower

#SOCsunday

Why I have not done this in the past is beyond me. But Fadra's weekly hosting of stream of consciousness is pure genius. I LOVE posts like these.

Anywho, here are the rules, blatently stolen carefully copied, pasted and given proper attribution from Ms. Fadra herself:

  • Set a timer and write for 5 minutes only.
  • Write an intro to the post if you want but don’t edit the post. No proofreading or spellchecking. This is writing in the raw.
  • Publish it somewhere. Anywhere. The back door to your blog if you want. But make it accessible.
  • Add the Stream of Consciousness Sunday badge to your post.
  • Link up your post below.
  • Visit your fellow bloggers and show some love.
Alrighty then. I suppose it is time to get my timer on and start writing. I hope I don't go blind from all the red underlining that is sure to happen. Here goes my maiden voyage:

The timer has been set and now my fingers are flying.

I oftentimes wonder why it is that I keep this blog. To be discovered? To be famous? To hope someoone will read it.

I hold back a lot of things that I write about because I am afraid of what peopel will think of me. There are so many more talented poeple out there that I don't know if I have anything of value to offer.

OMG it is hard not to proofread and edit.

These past few months have been amazing for me personally. At least as far as being online goes. the bummer is the lack of income. Big Daddy is being very pateient and not asking for a whole lot, but on the other hand i have got to start making some money. I have written hundreds of articles for other people for literally pennies and have nothing to show for my own. Applying for a real writing job is next to impossible and I don't want to ask anyone for help for fear of sounding desperate. If I had more timme in the day maybe things would turn around but twelve and thirteen hours sitting at a comptuer desk can take a toll out on me. Or it is. Whatever I am trying to say.

good lord.

the timer is going to go off soon and I don't have enought stuff written. Then i have to hit publish for the whole world to see. yippee.

maybe this will be a good thing.

DING
.
There you have it. Five minutes in the raw.

Riveting, isn't it?

Maybe one day *I'll* be the celebrity

We had to take Jessica to the airport yesterday morning. She didn't have to be there until 8:25, but we were afraid of getting the commuter traffic. On a clear day, we can make it in about 40 minutes, but in order to keep from getting caught in traffic, we left around 6:35.

We stood in a REALLY long line, got myself an escort pass, and made it through security by 7:50.

Don't ever accuse us of being late.

After I got over my initial nervousness of putting my first born child on an airplane, I thought, "Hey! It's the Monday after a holiday. Let's be on the lookout for some celebrities!"

Low and behold, just mere seconds after my thought, I indeed did spot one:

If you aren't fortunate enough to get WKRN, which services all of Middle Tennessee, then you may not recognize this fellow. He is none other than Meteorologist D@vis Nol!n.

Jessica said we should ask him for his autograph.

I was holding out for someone else.

(I should have taken her suggestion. Although, the second time I saw him heading into Burger King, I smiled. He looked angry.)

Since we were so early, we decided to get some breakfast. Now, I wasn't really hungry as the boys and I ate before we left. Remember, I thought we'd get caught in traffic. My pessimism told me that had I counted on eating at the airport we'd either; a) be super late and have no time, b) everything would serve dinner food and be closed, or c) something else really crappy would happen.

Jessica isn't a big fan of breakfast but was hungry so we went in search of food. Now, why she wanted to walk to her terminal at C20 and THEN decide she was hungry where we ended up going back to like C1 to eat is beyond me. She wanted to eat at O'Charlie's.

Let me tell you, I need to set up a shop in the airport. Four drinks, one bag of shaken donuts and dip and a breakfast quesadilla (OMG that thing was delish!) set me back TWENTY-FIVE FLIPPIN' BUCKS NOT INCLUDING THE TIP.

For realz.

Maybe that's why the weatherguy was kickin' it at Burger King.

Then, because my honor student couldn't remember to take her medicine with breakfast and a $2.59 fountain Pepsi, I had to buy her a bottle of water.

That was $2.59 plus tax. It has to be a conspiracy and that is why you aren't allowed to take beverages on the plane or past security. And would it kill them to put in a drinking fountain somewhere?

I watched people for awhile. I love doing that. I make-up little stories about them Where they came from, where they're going, the kind of work they do, ect. I noticed this one woman studying me. I gave her a couple of glances and started thinking she looked familiar. For a couple of minutes, I thought she was the author of a blog I read. They could have been TWINS. Then her husband and children showed up and that shot that theory. It was then my egotisical side took over and thought maybe she recognized ME.

Analytics isn't picking me up today if she blogged about it.

But, after all that, it seemed like only minutes and I watched my sweet girl head out. She was glad she got to board first, (A-1 business select, baby), but was worried who would plop down next to her. I was hoping it wasn't the gross guy that ogled her in line.

Maybe later she'll find out it was a blogger. I wished that Brandi worked for Southwest. That would have been cool.

We left, without tears somehow, and to add insult to injury they charged me $7.00 for just over three hours of parking.

Aren't you jealous of my Monday?

There has to be a happy ending

Once upon a time, in a land not to far from here, The Queen, her King, and the Princess were called to go to a land, far, FAR away.

The Queen, being of sound mind and body, thought that flying to the land far FAR away was not in the best interest of the Palace.

She tried very hard to get out of it.

Then she received a gift just in the nick of time. Before she knew it, the Queen had made it to the land far, FAR away.

Something magical and unexpected happened while the Queen was away.

She fell in love.

Not with another King. NO! But with....

una Princesa.

You see, una Princesa had lost her Queen and King and was in search of another. Luckily, The Queen and King came and found her. She could be saved!

However, the powers that be in the land far, FAR away are trying to keep La Princesa from her Queen, King, and Princess.

Because the Queen believes in the power of large numbers, she called out to all her servants and asked for prayers and positive thoughts. The servants responded and are now currently waiting for the word that La Princesa has made it HOME.

The servents are easy to spot, as they are seen wearing a bracelet of yellow, black, pink ("but not light pink!").

The humbled servants will continue to wear their braclets until La Princesa is back in the arms of her Queen, King, and Princess, in the land not to far from here.

....And they'll all live happily after.

***The power of numbers is huge. Please link yourself to the Queen's and her adoption process Let's get this out as far as we can! Thank-you for your support.***
